'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Someone Will Suffer, Promises Fergie

There have been a number of things said about why United didn't start the season as well as expected but the most important reason is the most obvious one: we miss too many chances.

Sir Alex is well aware of this but has no idea how to solve the problem in the short term. He believes that sooner or later our striker are going to start scoring.

'I actually believe the performance level is better than it was last season.

'We have just got to start finding that little extra in terms of our finishing. Life has always been the same here. If you lose a game you have to recover immediately.

'Maybe we need to more ruthless or show more composure at times but there is no doubt, making the chances we are, it will turn for us.'

'You just have to accept there are some little periods in every season where you just can't put the ball in.

'We have said time and time again, someone will suffer. We just have to concentrate and keep the belief that if we play our football and continue making chances, it will change for us.'

We've already shown this season that when we convert our chances, we're unstoppable - last month when Rooney was really firing we were brilliant. Now he's eased off the goals, so have United. It was the same last year, only we never lost with him and always seemed to lose when he wasn't there. It's no coincidence that when Rooney plays well, so do United

Having said that, though, he seems to have lost the knack he had before the world cup in 2006 of playing really well even when his side was losing, and not playing especially well. He does it on occasions, especially in the biggest games (FA cup final 2007) and, I believe, would have done in the Champions League final last season had he not been struggling with a serious hip injury

Lol lol lol. Fergie gets it right AGAIN. 5-0 win against Stoke is impressive, particularly without Rooney and Ferdinand (we could well have struggled without them) especially considering they'd held Liverpool at Anfield and beaten Arsenal. Ronaldo looks back on song, and so do United. Here's hoping that Rooney will be back for the weekend for the trip to Aston Villa and our rampant scoring will continue. Oh, and well done, Danny Welbeck. I really fear for Carlos Tevez now - I don't want him to go, but I just worry he will

Fergie should say this every week!!! Whatever he said to the players, it worked

it was a awesome display by united and 2 score 5 goals without rooney and ferdinand it shows that united have the squad 2 win the premiership this season

Haha you uppity Manc fans do amuse me so, you whip a basement team 5-0 then you suddenly think youre good again. Too bad you couldnt do that when you met Liverpool eh, you fell at the hands of a superior force. What have you done against any quality team this season?. FK ALL!! . You beat a poor team 5-0 , ...Gosh...Guess thats gonna have the other 3 shaking in their boots...
