Hargreaves Out For The Season - Predictably

Owen Hargreaves will miss the rest of the season as he's had surgery on his right knee. His left knee will be also operated in a couple of weeks.

Hargreaves's United career has been blighted by the tendonitis problem but he has made a very valuable contribution to the Double success as he performed very well in a host of important games.

Now we won't see him again this season and some fear that his career might be over. I sincerely hope not: it is still possible that from 2009, we'll have a healthy, ready-to-fight Owen Hargreaves. After all, missing a year due to surgery on the knee hardly destroyed Ruud van Nistelrooy...

As for United: well, this season was always going to be tough after the successes of the previous campaign - suddenly it looks uphill for us.

i wish owen hargreaves a quick recovery there was a story on the back of the daily star saying that united are interested in xavi from barcelona and he will cost £20 million

Feel really sorry for Owen - nothing's gone right for him since he signed for us. I HOPE he will make a quick recovery and be back the same player that attracted us in the first place next season, but I do worry about his long-term career

Same sort of nonsense happened at Bayern--good performances, then six months of injuries. You were robbed blind by the Bavarians.
