Saint Steven Of England Dived? Surely Not!
Saint Steven of England, the true example to all children out there, would surely not resort to the despicable art of diving? He places the purity of sport above all else and would not even dream to seek unfair advantage by conning the referee.
He is a shining beacon of hope in this modern football world, isn't he? He would rather accept defeat than cheat to get a point, definitely.
Well, anyone who hasn't got Anfield-tinted glasses on will tell you that this is rubbish. Gerrard himself proved it once again that blaming the foreigners for bringing diving into the English game is about as fair as giving a penalty for the dive Saint Stevie performed tonight.
With Atletico leading 1-0 deep into stoppage time at Anfield, Liverpool got their now usual dose of luck, this time in the form of the referee who was absolutely conned by Gerrard's absolutely staggering piece of diving. Stevie Me jumped forward then threw himself into the ground with agony on his face - a hilarious sight of course but the ref felt it warranted a penalty which the hero himself converted to celebrated without a trace of shame.
Scousers are always ready to slag off the likes of Ronaldo and Drogba for their antics and Alan Hansen will always be ready to blame the foreign players for everything - but neither will admit that Gerrard is also a serial offender. But we all know that, don't we?

If this had been Giggs diving you guys would totally ignore the fact and be just grateful to take the point. The way liverpool are playing it could be that you guys will have to play against them ... They look to be going all the way

What does Giggs have to do with it? And the way Liverpool are playing it looks only a matter of time that they start losing games when deflections won't go their way, opposing players won't be sent off regularly or when they won't get dodgy penalties.

Sorry you jerks. Though it wasn't a penalty (though worth appealing for), Gerrard didn't dive. Watch it again. There again, I guess it makes you feel better about your greasy portuguese, winking, pony-boy ballerina.
So Fergie doesn't fancy us for the CL huh, listing 5-6 other clubs. The****. No matter we've played in 2 of last four finals and reached semis last season, nor that we beat you at a canter at Anfield (sure you had a bad day?! ha) and currently joint leaders in the PL.
