Foster Gets His Chance

Ben Foster is possibly the most unfortunate goalkeeper United ever had. There's no doubt of his talents yet when he seems to be on the verge of a breakthrough, a setback occurs out of nothing.

He made his competitive debut for United at Derby County last season and excelled in an unexpectedly difficult game against the Premiership's whipping boys. Now he will face the real test: a Champions League tie at Celtic who might be various shades of pathetic when playing away from home but there's no denying that they are a formidable side in their own arena.

This time Foster is fully fit and it's not due to injuries that he'll start. It is simply down to the managers' trust in him, in a game which is important for United. Hopefully he'll seize his chance though I must admit that the best thing would be if he had nothing to do for the entire 90 minutes.

He'll be great for us in the future. I definitely trust him MORE than Kuzczak!

More solid and reliable with crosses and long balls. Both are good at shot-stopping so on the whole Foster wins against the Pole.
