United Set To Sell Ruud?

It was unthinkable a few weeks ago (and I still think it is unthinkable NOW!) but Manchester United will reportedly sell striker Ruud van Nistelrooy ... in the summer if he refuses to sign an improved three-year extension to his contract.

The Daily Mirror claims United are planning to offer the Dutchman a £10,000-a-week pay rise and the proposed deal would see his wages rise to £90,000 a week.

But if he refuses to sign, allegedly Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn't think twice on cashing in on his star player at the end of the season.

How old is he now? You wouldn't get all that much for him and he hasn't been playing that badly has he? Surely as your most clinical striker you're going to need him next season. I think Gary Nevilles prediction that Man U will challenge next year may be a bit far fetched if you lose your best striker.

united wouldnt be the same without the goal scoring machine. does anyone honestly think Saha is better than Ruud? selling ruud would be the biggest mistake ever. we need him if we are gonna get on top of the premiership. he's already the top goalscorer in the premiership and i'm sure he'll score about 10 more goals by the end of the season. if i was fergusson i wouldnt sell him at any cost.

If the is anyone Man U needs to sell and fast before his value goes down futher is Sir Alex himself. He is a proud man who lives on legacy. The fact is Man U is no longher the dominant force in the UK, thanks to him and his attitidue to players who cross his line. There is no way Saha is better than Ruud, and he will nevr be better. During the Newcastle game Saha fluffed 4 clear scoring opportunities, and yet he was allowed to play the whole game simply because Sir Alex is not in good terms with Ruud. Whats that ? Personally think Sir Alex must go before other good players cross his path and in the process get sold.
