Finally, Foster Is Back

Finally, Foster Is Back

A 2-1 win over Oldham reserves in the Senior Cup normally would not be huge news but it significantly boosted United: Ben Foster completed the 90 minutes.

The keeper made a quicker than expected recovery and could soon fight his way back to the first-team squad. Many tipped him to take the place of Edwin van der Sar this season but as he was terribly unlucky with injuries he was denied this chance so far.

He was solid in this game, looked confident and ready for more football. He's got so much more natural talent than Kuszczak - I would be much more at ease if he was on the bench instead of the otherwise likeable Polish.
