Fergie boosted as United go up a gear (AUDIO)

Manchester United seemed to be getting back to their best after another win made it two back to back victories in the league with a 2-0 scoreline at Blackburn Rovers.

After an indifferent start to the campaign, having lost one and drawn twice so far in 6 games, United are back within striking distance of the top 3 as Wes Brown's first half header was followed by a Wayne Rooney strike following an exquisite build up.

Ewood Park has proved to be a stumbling block in recent history for the Champions, who needed a Carlos Tevez header late on last year to secure a single point - this time around it was different as they dictated play and bossed the game completely, albeit their first goal was questionable as a Nemanja Vidic arm across Rovers keeper Jason Brown looked more a foul.

But the result delighted Sir Alex Ferguson, who says the confidence being shown in their play is a major boost heading in to the international break.
