New Deals For Scholes And Fletcher

Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher have extended their contracts at Manchester United.

Scholes has signed a new one-year-deal while Fletcher has agreed to remain at Old Trafford for another three years.

'Paul is proof that if you look after yourself you can carry on playing and be rewarded at a club of this size,' Sir Alex said.

'He is 34 now and he has been here since he was 14. That tells you the desire and the ability he has to stay at the top.'

Fletcher, amazingly, still has enemies among the United fans. There is a fraction who just refuse to rate him despite consistently good performances. They can't forget the bad old days of 2004 and 2005 - which is all the more curious as these years should be forgotten, and quickly...

Scholes for another year, this is music to most people's ears! shame after 20 years at manure Sir Alex still hasn't taught him how to tackle properly. oh well my bet on him to get most yellows this year should pay off.

thats great for manu having scholes back because he is a great player and you would not want to let him go or manu would go down hill.
