Fergie Mad At The Butcher Of Boro

Fergie Mad At The Butcher Of Boro

Fergie blasted Emmanuel Pogatetz, especially the fact that he had the nerve to complain to the referee after destroying Rodrigo Possebon.

The Austrian was sent off for his 'challenge' and no sane man could disagree with the referee's decision. But Pogatetz has proved many times that sanity is not one of his attributes.

'The injury looked really bad and the lad has gone to hospital,' Fergie revealed.

'The thing that gets me about challenges like that is that the opponent always claims he has done nothing wrong.

'He should have just walked off the field. Then you get their bench screaming that is wasn't a sending off and there is nothing wrong with our player.

'At least Gareth Southgate was very good about it. He apologised and understood the gravity. It was an absolutely terrible tackle.'

It's good to hear that Southgate acted like a decent man, unlike his players who found reason to complain to the referee. Neither of them were booked though and you have to remember Ronaldo getting a yellow for dissent at Stamford Bridge when he didn't even open his mouth...

I must say that this tackle was even worse than Taylor's: that was a reckless challenge on Eduardo and it was made worse by the fact all of the Arsenal's striker's weight was on that one leg. Possebon was more lucky in this respect but the challenge was worse: it was almost at knee height, studs showing first.

Pogatetz is famous for being a thug. He has a reputation and he's already broken a player's leg while playing in Russia. As a serial offender, he would get a lengthy ban if the FA had any balls. I don't hold my breath though.

Pogatetz is a real brute, I did not see the match but I'm not surprised!

Terrible tackle from Pogatetz! I hope Possebon will be back sooner than later and that Pogatetz will get at least 5 games on the sidelines (FA probably gives him 3!) Good luck lads!

Poor kid, I really hope he'll make a full and speedy recovery. That tackle has no place in football. How many games will Pogatetz miss now, 3 games? Disgrace!

Agreed, the mans a****. Its not even a month into the league and alreasy there has been two awful tacles/injuries, Guthrie on Fagan and now this.

Veeeryy upset about losing Rodrigo! He looked better than Anderson today! Some of his touches were IMMACULATE!

I feel bad for the youth, I hope he can make a full recovery. Challenges like that aren't manly they are cowardly I think they should consider banning players for the amount of time the player will be sidelined for depending on the recklessness of the challenge I don't think it's fair that after 3 games you can start playing again whilst the victim has to go through hell to play again.

I'm an Arsenal fan, and saw the tackle this morning. It was a shocking tackle! Glad to see the young lad hasn't broken his leg. Why do lesser teams think they have to kick talented young players to get the better of them.

Pogatetz's tackle was a horrific one to say the least. I hope your young lad is ok. He had a nasty cut and I read now that maybe he has damaged knee ligaments. Hopefully, he'll back soon. He's an exciting prospect, I have to admit. I saw him before on MU TV and he looked good. As for Pogatetz, he should be banned for a fair amount of games!

pogatetz, guthrie, davies, barton - the list seems to be growing. The game would be better off if the four of them never played again.
