'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fergie Not Afraid Of Chelsea

I'm tempted to disagree with Sir Alex Ferguson right now. But my ever-present pessimism should not get in the way of his actual comments so let's hear them now.

'It`s not a daunting task for Manchester United to go to Stamford Bridge... Not with the ability we have in this team.'

'Chelsea respect that. They know we can win there. We don`t want to be nine points behind Chelsea, or anyone else, at this stage of the season.'

'We know we`ve got a big job to do on Sunday and the players will be up for it,'

Well, we have the ability, definitely. But it's still a daunting task. No team have won a league game at Stamford Bridge since 2004. We haven't won there since 2002. They are our bogey team, no doubt, and as usual they can count on the referee as well the FA.

But Fergie continued.

'We have a collection of talents here at the club and I have to make sure I pick the right ones. You can`t dismiss the contribution of Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez - not with the form they`ve been in.'

'It`s fair to say I`ve got selection problems for Sunday - the right kind, mind you.'

Well, with Berbatov possibly available I also say it's the right kind of 'problem'. However, the return of Scholes fills me with fear. His non-showing at Anfield is yet another proof that he should not start these difficult away games as he does not seem to be up to it. Yet I'm sure Fergie will start him... and that could be our downfall.

But enough of this negativity. We are the European Champions and rightly so. No need to fear Chelsea, especially not a Chelsea without Michael Essien who always does well against us - and against everyone else, mind you. Eightysomething and out, eh?

for me, fletcher should start as he has been one of our top performers this season.

hehe! well first off i want to start by saying how annoying it is to click on "show full table" every time i want to read Man Utd news. So try getting amongst the top 6 eventually would you ? Will Ronaldo work as good now that we have 2 of the worlds best backs? you can't just throw him over to Ferreira anymore! I see you Man U fans bombing our site with comments so I thought i would visit you and share some thoughts :) I got to be realistic.. It's not sure we will beat u guys tomorrow.. hell you might just shatter our record.. But what I am sure of is that we will be the best team and produce more chances.. But in football that's not always enough. But my point is that Fergie should be afraid because we are stronger than ever and this year there will be no glory for you. I think you are a one-man team and when Ronaldo leaves You will struggle to make the top four! With our without your precious slave; BE VERY AFRAID!

Essien does well against you does he? Well revenge will be our motive otmorrow you'll see!

Rune, as much as you think of yourselves as the best team n the world, you are yet to have a player that strikes any kind of fear into anyone. You dont have a Ronaldo or a Messi, a Torres or a Van Persie; who can single handedly win a game on their own. Is that a bad thing? Who knows, but please stop with the whole "Big Scary Chelsea" crap. The only thing "big" about your team is Lampard's stomach and the only "scary" thing is boswinga's mental unibrow.

LOL! nah better to have a team of stars than a star in a one man team :)
