Carrick For United?

According to The Mirror, Manchester United will bid for Michael Carrick should the midfielder reject a new contract at Tottenham.

Carrick allegedly wants a pay rise of over THREE TIMES what he is picking up at the moment, and Spurs are reluctant to pay the 50,000 a week he is asking.

If Carrick fails to get his request, and rejects an improvement of his deal, Manchester United are said to be the first to go calling at White Hart Lane.

If he has any ambition, he'll leave if Utd come calling. Lets remember that he actually wanted to join Arsenal before Wenger pulled the plug on the deal. I think he'd be good for United.
