'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Nervy Berby

Dimitar Berbatov has admitted he is nervous ahead of tomorrow's big clash at Anfield as he is set to make his United debut.

"I might be nervous because it`s a new team, new players, a new atmosphere.'

"But hopefully with the help of my team-mates I can find my place in the side and help the team with my goals."

Yeah, we hope so. Remember the last players who made their United debuts at Anfield? No? Well, they were Massimo Taibi and Mikael Silvestre.

We won that game in August 1999 3-2 but the two players went on to have distinctly different careers at United. Taibi was soon released after some dreadful performances - most notably against Southampton and at Chelsea - while Silvestre spent another nine years here before sold to Arsenal this summer.

Which path will Berbatov go down? Well, his quality is a bit more than twice what Taibi and Silvestre could boast, together...

I watched this on telly and he wasn't very good was he! And because he played Rooney was banished out wide where he is totally ineffeective, plus Scholes' legs have gone and Carrick really isn't that good. Van Der Sar has lost it as well.

Rooney should play Scholes position.
Paulinho
