'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sparky Contracted The City Disease!

It looks like the Eastlands air is contagious. It carries some sort of wicked disease that drives the sanest man barking mad.

It seems to have happened to Mark Hughes who is now so consumed in all things Citeh that he believes nothing is more important than his own little bitter club.

'There is huge interest in us at the moment and, though there is another quite large game going on nearby on Saturday, we have superseded that one,' he told the Manchester Evening News.

'I am sure that has happened on many occasions.

'At the end of the day our profile is huge at the moment and there is such a story surrounding the Chelsea game with different angles relating to each club. We are really looking forward to it.'

Oh dear. I haven't expected it from Sparky of all people, to forget that cash is not the ultimate, most important thing. A Citeh v Chelsea game more important than Liverpool v United? And Sparky says it? The world has gone mad. We must guard our sanity, folks.

All that money has gone to his head! Citeh arent a big club, and they won't achieve that status in 20 years! This is all just senseless money spending to try and gain "fans"!

City v Chelsea is a bigger game & more important than Liverpool v United! Yes we are a big club.

As for our history man city have been going longer than Chelsea and their history was more outstanding until Abromavich came, then Chelsea go get the best players, what happened to going to a club for pride & playing from your heart? It’s all about money and things are going to change! I know that the best 11 players won’t make the best team but Mark Hughes is a very shrewd manager and being the richest club in the world with the best manager in my opinion, in the world there is only one outcome… Success! I believe that City can achieve anything they put their mind to so I’m going to stay positive and go all out to say this season we will be in the top four, I know it’s going to be hard but I believe City can do it!

mcfcthriller youre having a laugh. "the richest club in the world with the best manager" and "this season we will be in the top four" ??? you bought one player, the rest of your team still wouldnt make it to the starting XI for the top four. Think about it. Robinho isn't even as good as half the united or chelsea team and torres or gerrard for liverpool. Get real. Maybe next year kid.

he's gotta keep the fans happy and show he's dedicated, it's not gonna do him any favours if he says 'yeh city are still an average team'

According to Guillem Balague, Sparky has a transfer budget of £300M over next three years. Now who's barking mad? Read this and weep: http://www.guillembalague.com/rumores_desp.php?id=92
