'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'A Dream Come True'

Dimitar Berbatov has expressed his delight over finally securing a move to Manchester United, and his new boss Sir Alex described his arrival as a key signing.

'Joining Manchester United is a dream come true for me,' said Berbatov who, well, let's admit it, desperately fought for this transfer.

'I look forward to playing my part in helping this club win more honours in the years to come.'

Sir Alex was delighted as well though in the end Spurs were refused to be bullied, Berbatov's sulking did not force them into a corner and they squeezed out the full price from us. Doesn't matter now.

'This is a key signing. Dimitar is one of the best and most exciting strikers in world football.

'His style and ability will give the team a different dimension and I`m sure he will be a popular player with the fans.'

So be it. Welcome, Dimitar!

just goes to show manure wanted him all along. manure fans laughed last season and season before when reports came out that there was interest in him. manure are a disgrace....at least the blue half of manchester will now have its time! Manure will be struggling for 3rd / 4th spot behind arsenal! HA

Can't see berba sulking anymore now, so you will probably see the absolute best out of him again, I'm sorry to see him go but the writing was on the wall, but I'm disappointed in how the deal was strung out, you've really caused us a lot of problems by not stumping up the cash orginally, but I dont think Levy has been all that clever in this either. I'd say you are odds on for the title, and may at a push get the CL, all I ask is that you leave our club alone for the next 10 years, we really are struggling to get anywhere with you nicking our best players *sighs*

spurs funs are pathetic, all the last season Berbarov was named "sulk" and their favourtie was r.keane but when robbo left all these fans-spurs-haters accused Berba to be judas. no criteriion to be honest. Berba is the second Cantona...you spurs just pray not to score more the 2 goals agianst you!

whats up with all the Spurs fans...they are glad to see him go, but they are as bitter as hell...something doesnt add up here. If spurs didnt want to sell they'd keep him. end of the story.

I can see 15 goals for Berba this season with about the same amount of assists.

I think Fergie will sort him out and turn him into a real star. We've had 'almost' players before, and Fergie has turned their potential into substance... Cantona, Ronaldo...

Worryingly, though, Rooney seems to have gone backwards... Teamwork - great, but scoring?? What's happened to that killer instinct?
