Berbatov Signs, Campbell Loaned Out - Brilliant!

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with United about the transfer of Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian completed a move to Old Trafford for a fee of Ł30.75m. As part of the deal Spurs dropped their official complaint made to the Premier League, regarding our pursuit of the player.

I had expressed my concerns over the rumours that Campbell would be part of the deal and would permanently join Spurs - but it looks like Fergie knows what he's doing. The young striker joins Spurs on a season-long loan which will bolster their attacking options which are looking thin despite the signing of Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Hopefully Campbell will seize this opportunity to show his qualities. I'm happy that Berbatov comes - but what I'm really happy about is that it's FINALLY over. This saga was so unbelievebly protracted and boring that words can't really describe it...

***** YES! So happy it has been done. I was a nervous wreck at about 3 o'clock thsi afternoon when i thought cuty wew going to steal him from under our noses. ArsenalRob, its a tricky question, but I think SAF will rotate the three (along with Manucho) for most games, but for the big games....its anyones guess!

It is a bit annying to lose Campbell, I was expecting good things frm him. He is redicoulsy fast but his finishign is a bit erratic...but he is young. Also, it is only on a 1 year loan so theres nothign to suggest he cant come back next season and line up ALONGSIDE the great bulgarian.

We've got our man! Oh to say I'm excited would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! Why are you Spurs fan surprised he was moody?? Your team couldnt keep clean sheats, you lose so many goals at home to lesser opposition, still can't defend a set-piece and attacking-wise.....clueless. He's come to a club where none of those will be a problem AND he will be challenging to win BIGGER CUPS!

could a;ways see berba in a united shirt, loved him at spurs, truth is he is of an age where he needs to play champs league and be challenging on all fronts. The guy is a class cat, the only reason he was stroppy at spurs was because the players at spurs were simply not on his level. rAMOs is getting there but berba does not have time time on his hand. I wish him a lot of success in the next two years and then none, because hopefully by then the spurs will begin to chal;lenge on all fronts. Glad to see that the world will now have the benefit of seeing this wonderfully naturally gifted footballer. GL Berba i think now u will become a world star.

Berba easily has the potnetial to be a Utd legend, just like he did at Spurs, but in the end we failed him and didn't break into the top 4 (although I still think he would of gone even if we had) so he walked. Its a sad day for our club though, we really are starting to look like the united feeder club, still you give us some of the large scraps of your table. 30m is the right figure, just wish we could of settled this weeks ago amicably without all the fecking about.

ok how to say this without sounding bitter... im glad he has gone, no wait im glad this whole thing is over. on one hand im sad berbatov is no longer a spurs PLAYER but on the other hand im happy berbatov is no longer AT SPURS. he was fare to want to move somewhere like man u where he will get the chances i wouldnt have got a spurs atleast for a few years (fingers crossed) but they way he went about it was disgracful. if he tries that with fergie, he WILL rot in the reserve, unlike our empty threat and i woldnt be surprised if it did happen, we shall see. Anyway im happy with the deal just wish fergie was such a muppet about it and done the deal earlier so we could get our own players in, you just ended up paying what we demanded for anyway and you lost a player for it too (for a year atleast)

Is Campbell a loan deal, or a loan with an option to buy, nodody knows? Personally I'm glad the Berba saga is over, hope he plays as well for you as Keane is for Liverpool, but somehow I know he is gonna be your player of the season. When Rooney gets *****ed off on the bench can we have first dibs. lol

Hull City fan here. I cant help but feel that all of these spurs fans are simply bitter and hate to see Berba leave, the word "jealousy" springs to mind, your a selling club and always will be. As for Campbell, i'm gutted he was part of the deal, we had a £7m bid accepted up until he ended up being a pawn. I wouldnt say his finishing is erratic at all, he misses a few but what striker doesnt right? He's like lightning, pace to burn and for those chances he misses he makes his own chances through running at defenders and creating all sorts of problems. Good luck to the lad, i hope he does well and gets lots of games/goals!

I used to respect ManU but with Ferguson's behaviour during the whole Berbatov saga the club has now sunk to the gutter. As Keith Burkinshaw said when he left Tottenham because of the actions of our Board "There used to be a football club there." Today the same can be said of Manchester United. What a disgrace.

Berbatov is a fantastic footballer and will outshine most of the Manu players he now calls team mates. Hi is also un utterly disloyal ***** who's actions have no place in professional football, so he is in good company on both counts - bitter? YOU BET.LOL
