Berbatov Signs, Campbell Loaned Out - Brilliant!

Berbatov Signs, Campbell Loaned Out - Brilliant!

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with United about the transfer of Dimitar Berbatov.

The Bulgarian completed a move to Old Trafford for a fee of Ł30.75m. As part of the deal Spurs dropped their official complaint made to the Premier League, regarding our pursuit of the player.

I had expressed my concerns over the rumours that Campbell would be part of the deal and would permanently join Spurs - but it looks like Fergie knows what he's doing. The young striker joins Spurs on a season-long loan which will bolster their attacking options which are looking thin despite the signing of Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Hopefully Campbell will seize this opportunity to show his qualities. I'm happy that Berbatov comes - but what I'm really happy about is that it's FINALLY over. This saga was so unbelievebly protracted and boring that words can't really describe it...

***** YES! So happy it has been done. I was a nervous wreck at about 3 o'clock thsi afternoon when i thought cuty wew going to steal him from under our noses. ArsenalRob, its a tricky question, but I think SAF will rotate the three (along with Manucho) for most games, but for the big games....its anyones guess!

It is a bit annying to lose Campbell, I was expecting good things frm him. He is redicoulsy fast but his finishign is a bit erratic...but he is young. Also, it is only on a 1 year loan so theres nothign to suggest he cant come back next season and line up ALONGSIDE the great bulgarian.
