Anderson: Top Bloke!

Anderson: Top Bloke!

A devoted young 12-year old Singaporean fan`s story has touched a nation.

Whilst the rest of his friends went to the Cinema, young 12-year old United fan Nishok made the long trek to see the Brazil national squad train in the torrential rain.

While the crowds spirit started to dampen the young boy made started to sing the now famous chant, "Anderson-son-son, he`s better than Kleberson..." .What came next couldn`t have been imagined in the child`s wildest dreams.

Firstly, Anderson waved and threw his boot up to him (which he would later sign). Then, as if it couldn`t have gotten better, the 20-year old signalled for the young fan to come onto the pitch were they had a surprisingly long chat. The young lad was in the gaze of 500 spectators and his story; which hit the front pages in his native Singapore proves that some footballers still have their feet firmly on the ground.

Here is Niskok`s story:

"I just felt that he should know that I'm his fan, so I started to sing. And the crowd was getting quiet, and I wanted to make it livelier".

"His gesture was something I least expected. I thought he was just going to come over and say 'hi'."

"His first words to me were, 'How are you, my friend?'. Then, he asked me to sing him the song again, so that he could hear the lyrics clearly."

"I will remember this for the rest of my life."

Anderson's fantastic. You wouldn't believe he's only been here for one season. I wasn't expecting much, to be honest this early. Thankfully, he's proved me wrong.
