'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eagles To Leave

It's been coming for a while: Chris Eagles is, painfully, not good enough to hold down a place at Manchester United - but far too talented to be content with languishing in the Reserves.

It was rumoured that Championship clubs would like to sign the 22-year-old winger and now Burnley admitted their interest.

'It`s a bit complicated, in that there is another club interested in him, but he has real quality,' Clarets booss Owen Coyle told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

'We had a terrific meeting with him and his representative, obviously with permission from his club, because there would be a big fee involved in that.'

It will not be the biggest news of the summer if he leaves but he will depart with my best wishes: after all, we won't forget his goal at Everton in April 2007, will we?

Good luck to him, He started the season for us if iam not mistaking because of injuries, suspensions and such....he gave his best but not good enough

good luck mr eagles, never thought he was going to be good enough to be a first team ragular.

I started having hopes for him after he dominated in last seasons pre season , scoring 3 goals i think. But your right, he isnt good enough for our first team. A moove to Burnley would be a good idea, though i am a bit suprised none of the nely-promoted teams have had a punt on him...i think he could do well in a team such as hull or stoke.

Clearly the biggest news of your summer is kieran lee and david williams leaving to join the might latics!

alexpant
what about our brazilian twins? are they coming to the uk at some point or not? i remember last year, they even set a date for their announcement but nothing happened
alexpant
why dont we get Drogba? That should suprise the hell out of everyone. even the special one:D
alexpant
once again we'll start the season with a few losses...i hope we start better than last year...I was almost convinced last year that after 2 draws and a loss, in our first 3 games, we'd lost the EPL so easily... but we've proved too tough to go down so easily.
alexpant
The twins signed a week or so ago I believe, on their 18th birthday. To think, all I got was a litre of White Lightning...

We wont go down easily we never have, just slow starters!
