'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Silvestre Set To Leave

It looks like Mikael Silvestre thinks he has no future at Old Trafford. He might be right and he's certainly got good offers.

Roma and Bordeaux openly court him but as yet it is unknown which way he'll choose. Laurent Blanc, his old friend, is in charge of the French side while Roma are of course a much stronger side with better chances of success.

And there's another thing: Bordeaux reportedly want him on loan while Roma would sign him on a permanent basis. As a consequence of all the above, Bordeaux's sporting director admitted the Italians were the favourites.

'I am afraid the situation with Silvestre has been complicated.

'I met him recently and he told me he had just been contacted by Roma.

'Both clubs are interested in the player, but there is the risk he'll find a permanent transfer to Roma more attractive than a loan to Bordeaux.'

Wish him all the best IF and WHEN he leaves. He had been prone to mistakes in the past but he is improving immensely! I think he'll stay though.

I hope he stays. He's been a true professional and a Devil for life wherever he goes. Like ForeverUnited said, IF he goes, I wish him all the best and hope to see him against as on the pitch! It will be a great reunion! UNLIKE OTHER PLAYERS THAT MIGHT LEAVE!!! ungrateful little boy....

A loyal servant to the club. He should stay he was unlucky with injuruies last season i think he would definately get games.

I really hope Silvestre stays. We haven't seen much of him these past few seasons (due to his rotten luck with injuries) but when called upon, he's done an admirable job. As I say, I'd be happy if he stays, but I can't really blame him if he wants to go. He's always been loyal but he just probably feels its time to get some frequent first team football. So, if you go, Silvestre, well done, and thankyou. I wish you well in the future (where ever it may be) but hopefully it will be at United.
