What Do We Know About The Ronaldo Saga?

What Do We Know About The Ronaldo Saga?

Much has been written and said recently about Cristiano Ronaldo and his desire to join the world's biggest PR machine, Real Madrid. Here is your guide to it. Expect no chronological (or logical at all) order.

- Ronaldo wants to join Real - if the money is right for him and for United
- Ronaldo stays in Manchester, according to his mother
- Ronaldo is certain to leave, according to his brother
- The Glazers would leave Ronaldo in the stands rather than sell him, according to Fergie
- The papers say the Glazers would give the money received for Ronaldo to Fergie, for the purchase of new players
- Fergie has been banned from Portugal's training ground by Ronaldo
- Fergie had no wish to interrupt his family holiday in France therefore he wasn't banned from anywhere
- Portugal coach Scolari would let the pair of them clear the air with talks
- According to the papers, United can demand a record fee for Ronaldo as the club is not forced to sell and Calderon needs this signing badly in order to strengthen his position
- According to the papers, United weakened their own position by saying that they would rather let Ronaldo sitting in the stands than sell him - now it's Real who hold the aces
- Calderon said money did not matter to them
- Figo, Makelele, Van Nistelrooy, Schuster, Ramos, Robinho believe Ronaldo should sign for Real
- Bryan Robson, Ian Wright, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Eric Cantona, Oliver Holt (!!) believe Ronaldo should stay
- United have no evidence against Real in 'tap-up report'
- Ronaldo was pictured with Real fitness coach Valter di Salvo, once a United employee and a close friend of the Portuguese
- Ronaldo does not want to leave, merely wishes to receive a new, improved contract, according to rumours
- According to other rumours, Fergie ordered the club to give him that bleeding contract
- Yet another rumour pack says no matter what we offer as Real's Ł300,000 a week deal will sway him

That's it. It's all clear now, isn't it?

It's really annoying that every summer recently, we seem to have a long, drawn out saga. First, it was the RVN, will he wont he - then it was the whole Hargreaves debarcle, followed bu the extremly tediuos tevez saga last year...and now this. I just hope that we get it sorted soon after the Euros, stay or go - coz this isnt good for anyone!

As a player, there's no doubt what you're capable of. As a man, you're not showing any class whatsoever." Wright scathed. "You're also failing to show any respect to either Alex Ferguson or the Manchester United fans. "To be honest, I'm embarrassed for you. "You're now 23 and you should not be acting quite so immature. "You've been at Old Trafford for five years but it's only the last two seasons you've set the place on fire. "Previous to that, Fergie stuck with you. Despite your diving and despite the fact you would always try to take on a defender rather than pass to a team-mate. When you acted a right winker at the World Cup two years ago, your club manager once again showed extreme loyalty to you, along with United's fans. "They could have turned on you after your behaviour during the England match in Germany but they didn't. "You've now become one hell of a player - the best on this planet. I'd pay just to see you warm-up, let alone play a game. It says everything . . .

I know he isnt certain of leaving yet, but i just wondered what fellow United fans would prefer in the likely case that Ronaldo all money-deal that would be put into improving th esquad or slightly less money but a player involved, ie.Robinho. Personally, id go for a money+player deal as ther is always a risk with the frsit one that you cannot find anyone else in time, and i think the worst thing we could do is sell Ronaldo last minute and then just sit on the cash until next summer. Also, i knwo robinho isnt as good as ronaldo, but i can think of far worse replacements, and then with nani, robinho, park, hargreaves i think we would have good winger options. I will probably do an artyicel on it but just wondered what peoples thoughts were. What would you prefere?

Ok, even if he doesn`t leave now, he`s to go there next season FOR SURE! Will fans at Trafford all cheer him like they used to? We all know the answer to that. He has already stated he likes the "white jersey"...yeah right he was only talkin of the Portugal one! Good riddance - for you and the PL :)

Cash and player for certain.Players that are being linked with us may not be sold or may not want to come.Grab Robinho and 70 mill and run like ***** ;)

If he is to leave you should demand cash and Sneijder! If you got that deal your sorted! Sneijder is pure class.

Well judging by the willingness of Manu fans to forgive and forget what happened in the World Cup and what he did to England AND Rooney, I don't think any of you will have a problem 'forgetting' this as soon as the goals start going in. Having said that, if you had a few more English supporters you might have taken the World Cup incident a little more seriously. So what is the eagerness with players to leave you and go to Real? Once again a player wants to leave for bigger money, and no doubt he will then leave Madrid for even bigger money. But why does this greed start at Old Trafford? Maybe you've become a victim of your own success, as this is probably going to become a trend.
