United Legend Slams Ronaldo!

United Legend Slams Ronaldo!

Following the news we brought you earlier that Ronaldo had said he wants to join Real, we pick up on some quotes from United's legendary number 7, Eric Cantona.

Having just seen the news confirmed on Sky Sports News, I think it is time to move on, no-one is bigger than the club and Ronaldo's attitude in recent weeks has been nothing less than selfish.

But, this is no time to be down - indeed I feel a strange sense of excitement with the news of Ronaldo's probable departure. We still have a team full of world-class stars and I have faith in Fergie and Quieroz that they will bring in another top quality winger.

This is a view shared by ex-red Eric Cantona, who spoke of Ronaldo's situation:

"United is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have been winning, are winning and will continue to win things generation after generation. They will always win whoever they have playing for them."

Here, here Cantona!

Ronaldo expressed a desire to become a legendary number 7 like Best, Cantona and Beckham....but sadly, he never will!

I feel with you, we know how it is if you have players who only play for the club for money...

The King has spoken! I'm now beginning to think Ronaldo is off though. Why should he listen to anyone else when the sun (he seems to think) so obviously shines out of his arse?

Yep, it would be nice if he ended up at Barcelona, just to show those cun*s at Madrid... Cantona is a legend, Ronaldo blew his chance of becoming one.

Don't hate Ronaldo for wanting to be the best and win everything possible. He will be staying, articles like this are adding to the fuel that MADRID ARE CRAVING RIGHT NOW. I am furious that Madrid are doing this to unsettle him before the Euros just so Spain's enemy(Portugal) can become less a threat.

Paulinho, no one hates ronaldo for wanting to be the best. But personally, I hate him for betraying us like that. Man U have given him everything and he thinks about MORE money...Going to Real wont make him better, thats for sure...and the 07-08 year of ronaldo will not happen again. We should consider ourselves lukcy it did, this year But I agree with Rooneyisgod. I'm really tempted of wishing he rots on the stands and destroyes his career being so selfish... On the other hand, why not cash in like many of u say, and come back stronger with three more players of top class calibre?
