Evra Signs On?

Reports emanating from the press are suggesting United's pacy full-back has signed on with the club for a further four years.

It is known Evra and his agent met United official's yesterday and it would seem as if they have agreed on a 55 grand a week deal.

Evra has proven himself in recent years to be one of the best left-backs in the world, if not the best; and if the news of his contract extension turns out to be true, it will be a huge relief to United fans.

Now the attention must go on securing the future of Ronaldo....

Brilliant if true, I was terrified of losing him. There's no suitable replacement on the market as he's the best.

"Now the attention must go on securing the future of Ronaldo...." ha ha, u4l, one-man utd's season hanging by a thread?!
johnny come lately
johnny come lately,an appropriate name for someone who started following "soccer" ........recently.I don't think Ronnie will leave but do you honestly believe we won't survive if he leaves? Get a grip kid!!!

they said we would crumble when van nistelrooy left...the same was said of arsenal when henry left. it will be a huge loss to us and imo he will commit his future to the club in the next few weeks but even if the worst case scenario does happen; sir alex will find another gem, but liek i said i have confidence ronniw will stick with us for a bit longer. as for you jcl, its better to be a one man team (in your opinion) than a no man team....no chelsea player is good enough to tie ronaldo's boot, let alone compete with him on a footballing term. you, along wityh your club, its fans, and the debarcle of a site you all have over there are a joke, and its great you ended up empty handed this season, i would get used to it if i was you, its gonna happen alot.

ha ha java, your understanding of subtle nuances is showing bigtime. the moniker is not a reflection of my following 'football'. but then what would you know about nuances. just for the record (although i don't owe you ANY explanations on anything), my passionate following of the game goes back to espana 1982. but what would you know. you were still in diapers then... or worse not even a figment of the imagination. as for your worthless comments u4l, am not gonna spend useful energy countering something full of holes. bask in your little fantasy world mate. and as always when it gets lonely here, welcome to vital chelsea. we always have a big party going there 24x7. beats the eternal drudgery out here. hands down. :)

Ahhh Espana 82,I remember it well.I was there for Bryan Robsons goal after 27 seconds against the French.Happy Days indeed :)

If Evra has signed for £55k pw then you have an absoule bargain when you look at the inflated wages some are on.

java, no hard feelings mate. we're all into banter (and we'll still let fly regardless). yep, the 27 seconds by robson was the fastest WC goal till then wasn't it? espana 1982 is my fondest WC yet. still remembers off the top of my head the squads of most of the big teams. germany has always been my fave. and that was the only brazilian squad i ever liked. but i really loved england too back then. robson, coppel, brooking, trevor francis, graham rix, shilton, ray wilkins, hoddle... didn't they all play in that one? keegan too? or had he hung up his boots by then? keegan and hoddle used to be my favourites when i first started to follow football. agrees with you there... those were happy days indeed!
