Sir Alex believes Real Madrid are immoral and use dirty tactics to unsettle players. What a surprise.
Sir Alex was of course complaining about the Spanish club's shameless courting of Ronaldo as they tried to put his United future into doubt.
'You get used to performances from Real Madrid with these things,' said Fergie.
'I've head Calderon talking and Schuster talking and they're trying to unsettle players.
'The simple fact is that Cristiano has got four years left on his contract anyway.
'Calderon made that great statement that slavery was abolished many years ago.
'Did he tell Franco that? Give me a break!
'The players you want to keep, you have to work hard to keep. In the modern day that's a fact. It's not lost on United or Real Madrid.
'But in terms of great clubs then there are those, like Barcelona, with far better morals than Real Madrid will ever have.
'Madrid is not the only club interested in Ronaldo. Do you not think we've had many interests from big clubs about our best players? Of course we have, but we don't get into the nonsense that Madrid get into.'
Real were doing the same with Kaka: using their own newspapers, AS and Marca, to unsettle the player and making smug remarks about how irresistible the lure of Madrid is.
The really immoral part is Calderon: the president said Ronaldo will join Real if he wants to as no club can stop the player leaving if he really wants to. This, of course, absolutely goes against FIFA's ruling which clearly states that the clubs have to reach an agreement first therefore if United do not want to sell then they do not have to. But Real Madrid were allowed to get away with tapping up players for too long: they now believe they have a divine right to do so.
