Fergie's Already Planning Title Defence

Even a few months ago I would have told you I'm certain Fergie would retire after winning his second European Cup. Now I'm with those who say he's too obsessed to do it.

And my newly found opinion has been underlined by Fergie himself who, after basking in the glory in Moscow, has already outlined his plans for next season.

"The great asset I`ve got is that I won`t get carried away with it and tomorrow morning I will be thinking about next season."

"It is not easy to defend the European Cup, but the young players who have tasted success tonight will want to do it again. Some teams have done, I hope we can do it. I think we are good enough."

Fergie has written history numerous times but it looks like too big even for him. No team, not even the legendary Milan or the Barcelona dream team could not defend the trophy in the Champions League era. Of course, sooner or later someone will do it - and it could be United.

But while Fergie might be already thinking about next season, we supporters should be forgotten for savouring this success for now. I usually love summers but this one will be even better: thinking about Anelka's penalty will be enough to put me in a party mood!

Defending the title, only team ever to do so was AC Milan. I'd say that'd be quite interesting.

If any side can defend the trophy it is Man Utd, the squad keeps geting better, and if you do bring in some more players then the rest of the Premiership and Europe may as well pack in now.

Yeah I agree, I'm looking for United to bring in 3 players as 2 or 3 maybe leaving Outs: Saha, Pique(to Barca), possibly Silvestre wishlist: Ins: Miguel Veloso, Micah Richards and a striker on which I haven't decided on.
