Who Gets Holding Roll At Cardiff?

Ryan Giggs didn't look comfortable in a holding role at Anfield, but Sir Alex won't give up on the idea just yet. Or that is the hope of many United fans.

They see the alternative would be to pair Darren Fletcher and John O'Shea together, as Ferguson has done at times this season, notably for the goalless draw with Arsenal at Highbury.

But there is a sections of United supporters who are still unconvinced about either man's ability to operate in the centre of midfield.

However, O'Shea is now fully recovered from fractured ribs, is happy to take up the challenge.

O'Shea: 'I have been training for a few days now and I have been getting some contact on the ribs,' he said.

'It feels 100% and I am confident about it.

'Obviously I knew if I got through the game this week I might be in with a chance of getting into the squad this weekend and thankfully everything went well.'
