'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Carrick Lauds Travelling Fans

Michael Carrick praised the travelling fans' support after Saturday's vital game at Blackburn.

The 8000 fans who made the short trip to Ewood Park were easily more audible than the home supporters. Carrick reckons they played an important part in United's second half revival.

'The fans were unbelievable again and they probably sucked the ball in for us in the end,' he told MUTV.

'They're always great at Old Trafford, but when we come away from home the fans are something else.'

Thank you Michael. Of course he added all the bullish things about us going to Chelsea for a win - but you can bet your life that we'll be playing for a clean sheet and hope to nick a goal somehow.

Still, it's nice of him to appreciate the fans and he does it in the press more often than any other of our players. Cheers.
