Hargreaves Picked Up Another Injury

Various newspaper reports suggest that Owen Hargreaves is set to miss United's next two games because of a hamstring injury.

The midfielder is reported to have felt pain in his muscle after the Arsenal game and the medical check confirmed the injury and suggested a full 10 days rest.

That, of course, rules him out of tomorrow's game against Blackburn and Wednesday's Champions League tie against Barcelona, leaving United with only three fit central midfielders.

If it's true - and I hold a faint hope that Fergie will come out and rubbish these news - then it's a big blow as Hargreaves was brilliant in the last two games, he was absolutely vital in these victories.

And there's another thing. We have three midfielders who are dynamic and do a lot of tackling and harassing: Hargreaves, Fletcher and Anderson. Now only Anderson is fit so Scholes and Carrick will have to surpass themselves defensively in the Nou Camp. Without sacrificing their wonderful passing of course.

No surprise, hes been injuried 4 or 5 times this season alone. Hopefully wasn't the nice freekick that did it. This is why Veloso is linked.
