Fletcher's Turned Into A Lunatic!

Darren Fletcher is some time away from a comeback after a knee ligament injury and he's getting frustrated.

The Scottish midfielder picked up the injury on international duty, prompting a furious rant from Sir Alex Ferguson about the futility of playing these friendly games.

He's making good progress but is unlikely to feature earlier than the second leg against Barcelona. And it's really getting his goat.

'I have turned into a mental fan now I am not on the pitch,' he said.

'I find myself in the directors box questioning referees' decisions.

'I really need to calm down. People are looking at me and wondering 'who is that lunatic?'

'But it is just getting to that stage where the club want to achieve so many things.

'I am desperate to get back but have to make do with being in the crowd, so that is frustrating.'

Wow, just imagine Fletcher sitting in the directors' box surrounded by well-dressed, solemn, serious people and shouting on top of his voice, abusing the referee. Fantastic!
