Hargreaves Didn't Ask Ronaldo!

Hargreaves Didn't Ask Ronaldo!

Owen Hargreaves might have scored the most important goal of our campaign - but he did not seek the advice of the best player of our campaign.

Though both he and Ronaldo stood over the ball at the free-kick given for a foul on Evra, the midfielder never had any doubt about which one of them should take it.

"We had an earlier free-kick and I said 'I`ll take that`, but Ronny said 'it`s too far for you`.

"The second one was a bit closer and it was a good distance for me so I didn`t ask him!'

Well done that. Hargreaves, as his boss, praised Arsenal's football and admitted that at times we were passed off the park.

"I thought it was an open game - too open in the first half. The distances were too big and there was a lot of running to be done.

"We needed to tighten up a bit in the second half because Arsenal were the better team and made it difficult for us."

It was a well-taken freekick.
