PFA Awards: Ronaldo Nominated Again

PFA Awards: Ronaldo Nominated Again

Cristiano Ronaldo is once again favourite to walk away with both Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year award.

The Portuguese is of course the holder of both titles, ridiculing suggestions that he had only one stellar season though I guess some people will still say he's a one-season wonder if he scored 50 in 2008/09.

His rivals this time are Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Adebayor (predictably), Fernando Torres (not surprisingly) and Steven Gerrard. The latter is not a surprise, too: it seems he's got to be included, regardless of his performance (witness last season when he was nominated despite doing next to nothing of note in the Premier League).

David James is also on the list but I don't think anyone stands a chance against Ronaldo. He will finish as top scorer, has a good chance of repeating the trick in the Champions League and played in consistently scintillating form.

He should also run away, obviously, with the young player award which is contested between Fabregas, Torres, Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor and Micah Richards.

Ronaldo for player of the year no doubt, but if he wins player of the year in my opinion someone else should win young player of the year and that should be Cesc

Even though I hate him so much, but I have to admit that he deserves to win it.

I can understand the inclusion of Torres, Fabregas, Adebayor, James and of course Ronaldo. But Gerrard?!?!? WTF, he has been *****-poor this season and as Zae says it seems he has to be included. Its a farce, i genuinly feel like the only perseon sometimes who doesnt want to suck Gerrards cock. i mean, am i the only one who can see his the most panicked player in the premier league. as soon as liverpool are losing (which is very, very often) he resorts to long shots, 9/10 which miss. it is no suprise that occasionally one goes in and all of a sudden he is called a king! the whole liverrpool team do it...alonso, riise, even bloody crouch has started it. crouch!!!
