Park Is United's Lucky Charm

Ji-sung Park started 17 games in the last two seasons - and United won them all.

The Korean's started 9 this campaign and United can boast nine wins combined with an 18-0 goal difference in these games. So it's fair to say he's our lucky charm!

Add to this that with Rooney in the team, United are yet to lose a league game this season and the receipt for winning the title looks pretty simple: play both of them in the remaining five games and we'll be fine!

Of course it's not as simple but Sir Alex recognises the value of Park who is in fine form.

'He has shown absolutely the right attitude and risen to the occasion when called upon," he told United Review. "This boy is a very good player.

"He is incredible in training with tremendous energy and it might just be worth pointing out that a couple of his recent first-team appearances have seen us beat Arsenal 4-0 and Fulham 3-0 with other wins when he has played like 1-0 at Derby and 2-0 against Portsmouth. He never lets us down!"

And he said this before Wednesday's Champions League game, in which Park delivered another very good display. A place in the starting eleven against Arsenal for him? I'm all for it.

100% agree - he gets unfair critisim frm people who see him mearly as a siging to increase popularity in asia. Though it may be partly true, no one can deny he brings something to the team. He is starting to show the qualities which made him such a player at PSV. My team for sunday would be - Van Der Sar, Brown (is Neville fit enough to start?) Rio, Pique, Evra, Ronaldo, Carrick, Hargreaves, Park, Rooney, Tevez. Play players in form i say, which is why i would start with Pique, Park and Hargreaves

I agree mostly but I'd also like to see Anderson because he's been brilliant against Fabergas.

Good to see Park getting some well deserved recognition in the press. A highly underated player. I hope he has a long and successful career at United.

Park is quite underrated. Unfairly at that.
