Roma v United: Edwin Fit, Nani Out

Roma v United: Edwin Fit, Nani Out

Ryan Giggs, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Edwin van der Sar have all travelled to Rome despite nursing minor injuries.

It looks as though all five will be fit to start at the Stadio Olimpico and given that Luis Nani (thigh strain) and Louis Saha (hamstring injury) is out, they are expected to start.

Danny Welbeck and Mikael Silvestre have been included in the travelling squad but they are not expected to make even the bench in the Olimpico.

Darren Fletcher, of course, is out, having picked up a knee ligament injury while on international duty with Scotland.

The squad is in reasonable shape as you see. We are perhaps a bit short on attacking players but we do not count on Saha in any case and the team can surely cope with Nani's absence. Hopefully he'll be back for the Middlesbrough game.

A score draw should be good enough for you, shouldn't it?
