'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fletcher's Season Is Over

I was too optimistic when I wrote that the internationals had brought no fresh injuries. Darren Fletcher picked up one, and it's quite serious.

The Scot played the full game as Scotland drew 1-1 with Croatia but Sir Alex Ferguson says he injured his knee ligaments during the clash. As a result, he is out for about six weeks - his season is virtually over.

It's terribly unfortunate as he was in good form and played very well whenever called upon. However, I must say if there had to be an injury then it's good it's one of the central midfielders as we have five of them. The team should not suffer from his absence.

I wish a speedy recovery to Darren, hopefully he'll be able to play in the Champions League final!

He's starting to mature as a player and when called upon he's been exceptional.I still think he's Fergie's lovechild!!!Wish you a speedy recovery!!!
