Fergie Laments Lack Of Hat-Tricks!

United eased to a 3-0 victory over Liverpool today but Fergie believes we could have had more.

Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez all missed golden chances to rub in the scoreline even more emphatically and it was a concern for the boss.

"The 3-0 scoreline wasn`t flattering," he told MUTV.

"Not at all. Wayne Rooney could have had a hat-trick, Cristiano Ronaldo could have had a hat-trick… we certainly had the better chances and the better penetration.

"I was disappointed we didn`t finish them off earlier. When we did get the second goal there was relief right around the ground."

And he backed Steve Bennett's decision to send off Javier Mascherano - though I can't understand how can it debatable. The argument of many people goes like 'Chelsea players get away with worse things' which is probably true but I don't see why Liverpool players should receive these kind of favours, too? I don't think that Chelsea should receive them, of course.

"The boy had already been booked and dissent is dissent," Sir Alex said. "There`s been a lot of focus on dissent after what happened with Ashley Cole. I don`t know why he got involved in the situation. He`s come running across the field to argue with the referee.

"The sending off gave us control of the match, although I think we had reasonable control up until that point."

5-1
who did get your last hat trick in the Prem? Can anyone beat the four Lampard got for us recently?
merlin
"Why isnt Fergie dead yet" --- helpful comment. No one wants to hear crap like that. He's a man who deserves at the very least respect from every football fan for what he's done. Yes occasionally he goes off the handle and sounds like a complete idiot but his achievements show, he knows what he's doing.
The_Legend_Of_Zola
the question is merline can any of your players match up to ronaldos 25 league goals?
rooneyisgod
Probably not if Didier leaves in the summer, we might be without a 20 league goal a season man again.
The_Legend_Of_Zola
Lampard scored 4 against Derby. Wow he must be amazing!
Paulinho
Pity the title isn't handed out on the basis of "most goals by a single player in one game". Or have Chelsea managed to finally bend the rules? Still, they might be undone by Ronaldo even if they did, remember, we are yet to travel to Wigan and Villa are coming up :-)

Millers fan here - I watched on TV and in a way have to agree with your manager, 3-0 did not flatter United. Liverpool were beaten by the better side.

LMAO at the first comment. Too far. But still quite funny. United were the better team they will win the league this year and heres hoping they will win the CL because i've got a 10nner on them!
R.K
Ronaldo is quite amazing, its just unlucky that he's not getting hat-tricks week in week out.
