Foster To Be Loaned Out Again

Ben Foster was tipped to fight for the number one jersey this season - but cruciate injury cut short his dreams of replacing Edwin van der Sar.

He's made his comeback against Middlesbrough in the reserves and had a good game as United won 2-1. His return to full fitness is still some time away and it is certain he won't play for the United first team this season.

Now it appears that Sir Alex reckons the most sensible option would be to send him out on loan to get back to full fitness and gain match sharpness.

"I was hoping he would come through the Reserve match last night because there is a consideration for us to put him out on loan with a Championship club until the end of the season," the boss told the official website.

"I`ll have a chat with him early next week, but we`ve already had a few enquiries for him from the Championship and I think it would be good for him. We will consider all these options at the beginning of next week."

Assuming there are no injuries, VDS is probably going to be at United for between 2 and 3 more seasons. Foster won't want to be waiting in the reserves for that time so loans seem sensible. But perhaps he should be offered to Prem clubs... There must be some willing to take on a promising young keeper!

bollox.....looks like we may need him now with vds injured and kuszcack. could be a blessing in disguise, but right now i feel gutted. oh, and fran merida.....fu(k off!
united4life
Sounds like (didn't watch) you guys played well but were robbed. Sorry to hear about EvdS. Can Ben Foster start playing sooner?
Lou the Gunneress
i love it when i p1$$ you off U4l coz your such a windup merchant yourself....you can sure dish it out,but taking it back, well thats another matter.
fran merida

Bad luck Man U muppets!

Can't believe Kuszcack did that. Every time a keeper brings someone down I cringe. Surely it's better to let them score than to be sent off - especially so if the first keeper is already off! But I'm sure Foster is probably not too upset... Assuming he is fit enough, I would expect him to start your next game...

Your lot didn't have much luck but I couldn't help thinking that Wengers comment about the state of your pitch giving you problems might have some justification. Ronaldo had a couple of decent chances that he scuffed. He may have fecked them up anyway but I don't think the surface area around the penalty box helped much. A couple of times the ball seem to stick when it might have run better on a decent surface.

I LOVE IT ! Why wasn't nani showboating today? LOL

im sure we killed aral in the fa cup so how are there fans on here chatting rubbish?
rooneyisgod
Isn't it funny whenever manure lose there is never a match report on this site. But when they win it is posted seconds after full time. BTW looney should have got a red card for that tackle - THUG!
Will-i-am10
You should all know by now that Rooney will have to decapitate someone bfore he get's a red at Old Trashford.
charybdis1966
charybdis1966...you reckon he would even get one then? Notice the way sir alex complains so much when they conceed there first penalty of the season...what is all that about??? admitedly, i feel sorry for kuschak, as he didnt MEAN to take baros out...but laws are laws, and he had to be sent off... anyway, lets be hnest, it means more tu us than it does to you...
pompeycarpet
You're right Pompeycarpet, he'd probably get away with that too.
charybdis1966
Foster will be Englands number 1. Can we have him at the Lane for a season please, thanks.
Real Deal
