United have only Gary Neville and Mikael Silvestre absent as they prepare for the Champions League second round tie against the French champions.
Though some United fans, myself included, would not have minded had Fergie decided to field the same team that demolished Arsenal, with Ronaldo coming in for Park as the only change.
However, somewhat predictably, the Scot announced he would reinstate Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes into the team, thus potentially depriving us of our lightning pace on the counter-attack that Nani, Anderson and Fletcher (...) gave us.
However, I'm not complaining, it could turn out to be a masterstroke if we play a patient, precise passing game and unexpectedly pick Lyon off.
Fortunately, no more injuries were reported thus we have a near full-strength team available for the game.
My predicted starting line-up:
Van der Sar - Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra - Ronaldo, Scholes, Hargreaves, Giggs - Rooney, Tevez
Subs: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson, Nani, Saha.
We need Hargreaves to harass Juninho and deny him space whereas Vidic and Evra should successfully snuff out the threat of Karim Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa. And if things do not pan out as we hope, there's always Nani, Anderson and Saha to turn to.
I predict a narrow 1-0 win with a Rooney goal.
