'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fergie hails Fletch (AUDIO)

United booked passage to the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup with shocking ease in what was without doubt pre-match the tie of the round.

Few would have predicted such an emphatic drubbing of Arsenal at Old Trafford, especially so soon after their exit from the League Cup just last month to their North London neighbours. But if there's a team capable of handing out a beating on the back of disappointing results in the league, then it's Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

Headers from Wayne Rooney and the impressive Darren Fletcher were followed by a neat finish from Nani to put United three up at half time before Emmanuel Eboue's red card for a high boot was followed by Fletcher nodding in his second of the match.

The mercurial manager heaped praise on his side's performance and believed he saw the real United side which has performed below their high standards in recent Premier League matches.
