Fergie Tries Again For Manucho

Sir Alex is an optimist. The Home Office rejected United's application for a work permit for Manucho Goncalves who emerged as one of the stars of the African Cup of Nations. Therefore, we sent him out on loan to Panathinaikos.

It does not mean he will never play for United though. Fergie, according to reports, tries it again, with the hope that Manucho's spectacular goals at the Ghana tournament may swing the case in his favour.

Of course any application will be lodged only in the summer so our current striker crisis will not be solved... But hopefully we'll have a great attacker for next season.

'Given that he played for Angola and did so well at the African Nations Cup, we will re-apply for his work permit in the summer and hopefully next year he could play for us,' Fergie said.

He'll eventually get a work permit. Recently, we had a similar problem with Mark Ginzalez but he did eventually get his.

y are they rejecting the work permit, over teams in the prem found it easy to get work permits for other africans!
