'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Rio Demands Response Against Gunners

Rio Ferdinand targets beating Arsenal in the weekend's FA Cup tie to heal the wounds left by City's unexpected victory at Old Trafford.

The Gooners visit Manchester on Saturday in the fifth round of the competition and will be confident of causing an upset as United have clearly lost their form. However, there's no better opportunity to regain it, says Ferdinand.

'It was a very bad weekend,' he told MUTV.

'We've all been thinking about the reasons why it happened and how we want to pull ourselves together and get the result out of our minds.

'The best thing you can do is to come into training and just get focused on winning the next game, and that's what we're doing.'

dangerous article... soon the site will be full of gunners claiming they are the best thing ever happened to the world and that we will probably be thrashed 5-0... will be interesting to see their reactions if they happen to lose
Vidicinho
vidicinho...if they lose they will just mock the cup, claiming they have bigger fish to fry. what will be interesting is if they lose to us and then lost at home to milan.....then we will see how confifetn and cocky they feel.

I fully expect to win AC Milan but this could be a good match. Ill go for a draw.

No U4L, many of us have been saying it's PL and CL that we need to work hard on this year. We don't mock the FAC - CC maybe yes haha - but if necessary, and since we're in such a good position in the league, FAC can be sacrificed. But a game against ManU is always a big one, no matter what competition we're talking about. It's just that we may not get to see the best players from both sides.

i would be very suprised if SAF did not put out a full-strength team. this match is as much about gaining confidence than getting to the next round.
united4life
if we lose to manure and milan,i will still be confident because we would still be 5 points clear at the top of the table, where it matters most.
fran merida
i wouldnt be surprised if SAFF puts out a full strength team as this match is as much about winning something this season as anything! I also wouldnt be surprised if our 2nd stream won this one.

As this competition is the only chance of silverware this season, you mancs had better pray for a win. Can't see it though.
